One institution · Multiple centres of excellence · One strategic purpose

One institution, engineered to convert strategy into capability.
AMS is an advanced manufacturing and technology institution. It integrates land, capital, infrastructure, technology, supply chains, workforce and digital systems into a single operating architecture.

Vision, purpose & principles
Why the institution exists
Industrial strategy routinely stops at the document. Land is identified, policy is written, capital is discussed — and capability is never commissioned. AMS exists to close that distance, by owning the full path from institutional intent to operating industrial capacity.
Principle 01
One institution
A single accountable entity with one board, one governance model, one evidence standard and one balance sheet view.
Principle 02
Multiple centres of excellence
Eight platforms, each with its own capability stack, technical leadership, evidence base and lifecycle responsibility.
Principle 03
One strategic purpose
Convert industrial strategy into capability that a customer, an investor and a workforce can verify and use.

What the institution does
Designs, owns and operates advanced manufacturing and technology platforms spanning strategic materials, advanced electronics, semiconductor packaging, intelligent systems, equipment and robotics, mission-critical technologies, artificial intelligence and research.
What makes it different
The commercial engine begins before the factory is complete. Trading, machine sales, technical services and prescription engineering generate revenue, qualification evidence and customer relationships that de-risk the manufacturing transition.
How it is controlled
Deterministic routing, calculation, document generation, reminders, dashboards and audit are automated. Accountable decisions remain human-owned — 100% digitally orchestrated, not 100% human-free.
Enterprise architecture
Five experience layers over one operating system
Select a layer to see its audience, function and outputs. The public website is the first layer — the remaining layers are governed, permissioned and evidence-linked.

Explain the institution, its capabilities, strategy, evidence and engagement routes
The public experience layer. Search-visible pages, platform and capability records, the 26-chapter strategy, annexure dashboards, research and structured enquiry routes.

Evidence & milestones
The implementation sequence
The institutional build is phased and gate-controlled. Each phase produces the evidence the next phase requires.
- Phase 01
Foundation & mandate
Institutional mandate, objectives, governance and source register.
- Phase 02
Land & location
Location evaluation, allocation strategy and government engagement.
- Phase 03
Commercial activation
ERGI 24-month trading, machine sales, services and consultancy.
- Phase 04
Platform build-out
Facilities, utilities, equipment and operational readiness per platform.
- Phase 05
Scale & expansion
National and global expansion, lifecycle services and installed base.
Governance & accountability
Board, committees, controls
Governance is structural rather than procedural. Decision rights, approval thresholds, evidence requirements and audit obligations are encoded in the operating system, not left to interpretation.
RACI / DACI discipline
Every material activity has a named responsible, accountable, consulted and informed role.
Approval thresholds
Commercial commitments route automatically to the correct authority level.
Segregation of duties
Creation, verification and approval are separated across roles and functions.
Audit & evidence retention
Immutable history on approvals, exceptions, evidence expiry and version change.
Risk & exceptions register
Open risk, overdue action and exception queues with escalation paths.
Source control
Owner, version, effective date, approval state and superseded-by relationships.
Human control rule
AI recommendations are presented as decision support. Accountability, approval, legal interpretation, sensitive negotiations and high-risk actions remain assigned to authorised people.
Research & innovation
Research that reaches the production line
Research at AMS is commissioned against platform capability gaps, not academic interest. Each programme has a target platform, a capability owner, an evidence standard and an adoption route into manufacturing operations.
- Advanced manufacturing process and materials research
- Standards participation and technical evidence development
- Digital twins, simulation and industrial AI adoption
- Knowledge graph and institutional memory
- Technology collaboration with institutions and industry

People & academy
Workforce as infrastructure
Platforms fail without people who can run them. AMS Academy converts capability demand from each platform into curricula, certification and career paths — technician, engineer, specialist and leadership tracks.

Institutional, industry and community routes
Sustainability / ESG
Environmental and social framework
Circular economy is a platform, not a policy annex. Materials recovery, water and energy systems, emissions management and community participation are governed with the same evidence standards as commercial performance.
Circular materials
Recovery, reuse and resource-system integration across the materials platform.
Energy & water systems
Utility architecture designed for resilience, efficiency and measurement.
Emissions & biodiversity
Baseline, targets, monitoring and reporting obligations tracked as evidence.
Social & community
Skills, local employment and community participation commitments.

Controlled document library
Every document carries owner, version, effective date, approval state and access classification. Documents not yet approved for public release remain in the member layer.
